At PBJ Connections, we believe mental health support should be accessible, flexible, and responsive to the needs of the whole community. That’s why we serve children ages 6 and up, adults, and families, meeting each person where they are in their journey across multiple locations in Central Ohio.
What sets PBJ Connections apart is the range of services available in one program. Clients can engage in traditional office-based therapy, connect through telehealth, or participate in equine (horse) assisted psychotherapy, depending on what best fits their needs, comfort level, and goals. This integrated approach allows individuals and families to access care in ways that feel both effective and sustainable.
This approach has made a meaningful impact. In 2025, PBJ Connections provided 5,270 hours of care to 633 individuals and families, including more than 1,000 sessions in partnership with our horses. As a nonprofit organization, we also awarded $63,682 in scholarships, helping ensure that cost is not a barrier to receiving support.
In addition to clinical services, PBJ Connections hosts community events that are open to the public. These events not only raise funds for scholarships but also create opportunities for the broader community to engage with and better understand the impact of mental health services.
By combining clinical expertise, innovative therapeutic approaches, and a commitment to accessibility, PBJ Connections continues to expand what mental health support can look like, ensuring more individuals and families have the opportunity to receive the care they deserve.
