Tips for Planning the Perfect Mother’s Day at Easton

Share this post:

Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the selfless, beautiful, amazing women in our lives: our moms. With so many fun things to do—making brunch reservations, taking pictures by the fountain and carriage ridesEaston has everything you need to make this Mother’s Day extra special.

We chatted with several Columbus moms to see how they’re planning to spend Mother’s Day at Easton to inspire you to make your own plans. Here’s what they had to say:

Courtney’s Plans

Courtney will be starting her weekend with a free family fitness class with FIT4MOM Columbus East on Saturday followed by sweet treats from Cheryl’s! To carry on her fitness weekend, Courtney and her family will be participating in their first family 5K at Easton, The Mother’s Day Brunch 5K. When it comes to brunch plans, Courtney will be heading to Northstar Café, which she explains is the best spot to hit at Easton, especially with a toddler!

When it comes to choosing the perfect gift, The Blowout Bar and Aveda are two places Courtney recommends. What could be better than getting your hair styled and a mini facial and hand massage?

Lindsay’s Plans

A nice meal, seeing beautiful flowers and shopping for mother/daughter dresses is what Lindsay plans on doing for Mother’s Day! When she’s in the mood for a delicious brunch, Lindsay and her family head to the Hilton for its buffet. She says it’s “unbelievable!”

If you’re looking for the ultimate Mother’s Day gift, Lindsay suggests sending your mom to Nordstrom! With endless options, Nordstrom has all the bases covered so mom will find exactly what she wants or needs right in one store. They even have personal stylists who can help mom find the perfect outfit. Learn more about booking a styling appointment with one of their consultants.

Leslie’s Plans

“My favorite way to spend Mother’s Day is sleeping in, relaxing at home and going out for a nice meal with my children, followed by a family walk. This is exactly how I’ll be spending Mother’s Day this year,” said Leslie. Her all-time favorite spot at Easton for a good meal is Cooper’s Hawk. “They can always get us in, the food is fabulous and there is wine!”

Leslie says the list of gift options at Easton is endless! She personally LOVES Madewell, but there are so many other options. From exercise wear at lululemon and Athleta to crafts at Paper Source, there is a gift for every type of mom.

Angela’s Plans

Angela’s perfect Mother’s Day includes a day with just her and her daughter. She plans on starting out at Jeni’s with some delicious ice cream. She and Emmie will then spend some time at The LEGO Store and Build-A-Bear Workshop. If they’re feeling extra special, they’ll stop at American Girl for some lunch at the counter. What will daddy be doing while they enjoy the day? Taking a trip to Tiffany & Co for a pretty blue box, of course!

Although a tough choice, she recommends heading to Brio for Mother’s Day brunch. “The outdoor patio is my favorite. I can watch the kids play in the water while getting some sunshine!” says Angela.

Kelley’s Plans

Kelley celebrates Mother’s Day by going for a yummy brunch, walking around Easton, enjoying the fountains and shopping with her family. Where does she go for brunch exactly? That’s easy! “McCormick & Schmick’s and Smith & Wollensky are always winners for brunch,” says Kelley. Quick tip: If you plan to take your mom to either of these eateries on Sunday, be sure to make reservations!

A gift for mom shows you appreciate all the love and care she has given you throughout the year. Kelley’s current go-to store is Evereve, but she also recommends a pampering gift from Avalon Nails or Elements Massage!

Barb’s Plans

One word: shopping! Barb’s favorite way to spend Mother’s Day is to head over to Nordstrom to gift herself some new shoes. Does anything sound better? We didn’t think so! Finding gifts for your mom can be a challenge, but Barb recommends absolutely anything from Kendra Scott, or a new pair of comfy jammies or lounge pants.

She enjoys many restaurants at Easton, but when looking for something with a short wait, she heads to Café Bistro at Nordstrom. Don’t let the wait time fool you, Nordstrom’s café has amazing food for the entire family to enjoy!
