A Legacy of Empowering Youth
For 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio (BGCCO) has been a source of inspiration, opportunity, and transformation for young people. From the opening of its very first Clubhouse on December 8, 1948, BGCCO has grown into a dynamic network of 11 Clubs across three counties, serving thousands of kids in Columbus, Marion, and Newark. This month, as we celebrate our 76th birthday, we remain steadfast in our vision: for all kids—regardless of zip code or circumstances—to have the opportunity to achieve a great future.

A Safe Space to Grow and Thrive
Every child deserves a place where they feel valued, supported, and inspired. At BGCCO, each Club provides a safe, engaging space where kids can learn, grow, and prepare for their futures. It’s a place where nurturing, professional staff build relationships that empower kids to see beyond their circumstances and reach their full potential.

But the Club is not just a safe place for kids to hang out. A typical day at the Club includes so much more –  future readiness programming, nutritious meals, recreation, friendship and mentorship, and a place to call home and belong. Whether it’s excelling in school, exploring careers, or simply having a trusted mentor to talk to, the Club experience shapes lives in profound ways.

Focused on What Matters Most
BGCCO is dedicated to four priority outcome areas that address the needs of today’s youth:

  • Academic Success: Ensures members graduate on time, ready for post-secondary education and 21st-century careers.
  • Healthy Lifestyles: Teaches habits that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Good Character & Leadership: Builds caring and responsible community members.
  • Mental Health and Well-Being: Equips members with skills to be resilient and manage stress and adversity.

These four priority outcomes help ensure that every child who walks through our door has the skills to succeed both today and in the future.

YOU Make Great Futures Possible
Though it costs BGCCO $25 per day, per child, families pay just $0.50 per day for the unlimited opportunities that the Club offers. With less than 4% of revenue coming from Club membership fees, BGCCO relies heavily on the generous support of donors like you to fulfill its mission.

Give the Gift of a Great Future
This holiday season, you can be a powerful force for changing a young person’s life. By supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio, you’re giving more than a gift—you’re giving the opportunity for a great future.

Visit www.bgccentralohio.org to donate and help us continue changing lives, one child at a time.

Together, we can ensure that every child in Central Ohio has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Great futures start here—great futures start with you.
