Meet The BOLD Girl Collective, formerly Brown Girls Mentoring, the Easton Community Foundation’s March/April Program Partner.
The BOLD Girl Collective was founded in 2016 with a mission to equip Brown Girls with tools to build her self-confidence, develop relationships, resolve conflict, make wise decisions, work in teams, and develop practical life skills. They educate your Brown Girl(s) through lectures, trainings, activities, simulations, role play, affirmations and so much more!
The BOLD Girl Collective is here to empower young Brown Girls in all shades of beauty to know their worth, strive for excellence, and to embrace their natural beauty. Their vision is to form lifelong bonds of sisterhood, to build confidence, and to see EVERY Brown Girl win!
Founded by Columbus native Mrs. Jamie Blunt, The BOLD Girl Collective aims to be a catalyst for the changes needed in our community – leaving a legacy to give girls the tools to continue to pay it forward.
Brown Girl Pillars:
- Self-Acceptance: Sharing with girls that it’s ok to be you! Feeling satisfied with very aspect of yourself without exception.
- Self-Awareness: Teaching Brown Girls to be aware of their own individuality, emotions and image and to act objectively.
- Resiliency Mindset: Supporting Brown Girls as they navigate through life’s challenges while teaching them the power of perspective and how to bounce back from the obstacles of life.
- Character Development: Helping Brown Girls navigate their moral and social growth as they mature into self-accountable beings.
- Sisterhood: Brown Girls is a safe space to learn and grow with other like-minded girls through compassion, understanding and fun!
