Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
While the U.S. represents just 4 percent of the world’s population, we produce more than 10% of global municipal solid waste. It’s estimated that each person produces around 230 pounds of waste per year.
Reducing waste, recycling, and reusing or repurposing items are some of the most important, simplest ways to reduce negative impacts on the environment.
At Easton, we take these actions seriously with:
- 11, 2-yard recycling containers for glass and plastic placed throughout the property
- A partnership with Lowe’s in Easton Market to recycle changed-out, fluorescent lightbulbs (they’ll recycle yours too!)
- 8 loading docks with cardboard recycling compactors
- A partnership with Habitat Restore, Habitat for Humanity’s repurposing shop, to deliver surplus construction materials
- Recyclable signage, awnings and light poles
- Recycling receptacles in offices throughout the property
