It’s time for the Third Annual Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival! Join us on October 5th from 4-8 PM to sample unique macaroni and cheese tastings from the best Easton and Columbus restaurants and support cancer research at the OSUCCC James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
In addition to an endless array of cheesy goodness and live entertainment, this year’s event will feature two new elements! Culinary experts and dietitians with OSU’s Mobile Education Kitchen will be taking their expertise on the road and stopping at Easton to educate attendees about the nutritional benefits of cancer-preventative foods and offer cooking demonstrations. This year’s event will also feature fun activities for kids, including pasta necklace making stations, face painting, balloon artists and more!
According to the National Cancer Institute, 70,000 young people (ages 15-39) are diagnosed with cancer each year—accounting for 5 percent of cancer diagnoses in the United States. Adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancers are some of the least studied, least funded and least understood of all cancers. That’s why research funding, like that raised through the Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival, is so important. Over the past two years, the Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival has helped raise more than $140,000 to support the great work being done to advance cancer research at the OSUCCC James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
