LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus is the 12th attraction of its kind to open in America, and the second largest of them all! With two stories of LEGO brick fun, the attraction includes two interactive rides, a 4D cinema, private party rooms and a MINILAND replica of the surrounding area. Since this is the first (and only) LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Ohio, it features buildings from Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati, which took 1.5 million LEGO bricks to make. The center also features 10 themed LEGO play zones and a creative workshop with classes taught by their own Master Model Builder.

This week, our team had a chance to go behind the scenes and experience all the bricktastic features that make this attraction truly unique. While we were there, we asked some kids about their first impression of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus. Here’s what they had to say:

If you could describe LEGOLAND Discovery Center in one word, what would it be?

Bricktastic! – Liam, age 5

Amazing! – Addison, age 8

Awesome! – Carter, age 11

If you could build anything out of LEGO bricks, what would it be?

I would make the tallest tower in the world. – Liam

A castle because it would be cool to build something big. It could be a dragon castle or a princess castle. – Addison

I would build either a space ship or a time machine. – Carter

What was your favorite part of LEGOLAND Discovery Center?

My favorite part was the climbing play area. It was cool because you can climb and run around! – Liam

The 4D movie theater because it sprays water, wind and smoke. – Addison

My favorite part was the ride where you could shoot things with the laser gun. That was really fun!  – Carter

What do you want to do the next time you come to LEGOLAND Discovery Center?

I can’t wait to see Maxx and take a building class. – Liam
