Overview of Position
The Inventory Coordinator position is responsible for performing a range of daily inventory-related tasks that ensure timely, accurate replenishment of merchandise and stock in the store. This position partners with the General Manager to coordinate and orchestrate the store’s inventory efforts, reinforcing the overall inventory awareness of the staff. This is a full-time, hourly, nonexempt position.

Position Reports To
General Manager or Operations Manager, where applicable

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Partners with the General Manager to develop a strong sense of inventory awareness through constant impromptu conversations and coaching of employees
- Exhibits pace and attention to detail in managing daily tasks
- Adheres to the time expectations established for the role, performing tasks with accuracy and timeliness
- Understands the direct impact of accurate inventory on the sales success of the store and effectively communicates developmental training opportunities with each Store Manager as it relates to their area of focus
- Effectively impacts the selling effort on the salesfloor when inventory tasks are completed
- Takes advantage of coaching opportunities to provide customized training to help employees improve their inventory awareness
- Provides regular feedback to the General Manager during the daily touch base specifically related to inventory, follow up and coaching opportunities
- Provides support to the Visual Sales efforts in the store by actively participating in the maintenance of the store and communicating the importance of Visual Sales
- Checks voicemail and email at least two times per shift and ensures staff is also committed to timely communication
- Drives initiatives, motivates and inspires enthusiastic and productive behavior, with the goal of providing exceptional service to our customers and meeting or exceeding company goals and objectives
- Supports and implements all company initiatives and directives, campaigns and special events in a timely manner
- Leads projects through to completion
- Identifies, recruits and develops strong leaders that will contribute to the future growth of the company
- Actively engages with customers to solve their organizational challenges
- Is accountable for achieving sales goals in partnership with the store team
- Handles cash and other valuables appropriately and securely
- Maintains a safe working and shopping environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
- Performs other requested tasks and duties

Experience and Skills Required
- College degree preferred
- 2-5 years inventory experience preferred
- Retail sales experience a plus
- Ability to travel 5% a year, based on the business needs
- Strong computer skills
- Proven communication and coaching skills
- Is able to speak confidently and comfortably before groups of varying sizes and can adapt delivery according to the needs of the audience
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
- Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
- Professional manner and strong communication skills internally and with outside vendor partners
- Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
