Role Summary:
Supports the Store Manager in maximizing store potential, achieving sales productivity goals and profitability as well as hiring, coaching, and developing associates as selling and style advisors. Works closely with the Store Manager to carry out corporate policies and assists with ensuring excellent J.Jill visual merchandising and operational standards. Acts in the capacity of Manager on Duty in absence of Store Manager and/or Co-Manager.

*Ability to communicate goals and objectives to the team
*Treats everyone on the team with dignity and respect, and motivates through inspiring and encouraging leadership
*Strong leadership qualities, including training and team-building skills
*Excellent customer service skills with a statistical track record in all areas of sales
*Experience in recruiting and retaining a talented team
*Strong communication and analytical skills
*Strong style, merchandising, and wardrobing skills
*Must have the availability to work during the majority of peak business periods, including Saturday and Sunday
*Entrepreneurial spirit and creativity

Education & Experience:
*2+ years of women’s specialty retail experience preferred; 1+ year(s) in a store management position preferred
*Point of Sale (POS) and general Microsoft Office experience
*Experience in relevant Human Resources processes
