Easton | Marketing & Events Specialist


Job Title:  Marketing & Events Specialist | Department:  Marketing
Reports To:  Senior Manager, Marketing & Guest Experience | Status: Exempt / Full-time
The Marketing & Events Specialist is primarily responsible for helping create the ultimate guest experience, both onsite and digitally, for Easton Town Center, the Midwest’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination. This position is also responsible for a combination of the planning, coordination, and execution of Easton’s event and activation strategy and social media channels.
• Collaborate with Sr. Manager on Easton’s content strategy and monthly editorial calendar planning.
• Develop and curate written content for Easton’s social media channels including scheduling and monitoring content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
• Create, edit, and publish photo and video content for social media and web channels.
• Maintain Easton’s brand standards and engage with fans and followers, respond to comments, and track inquiries and responses accordingly.
• Attend events and activations and produce and publish live social media content.
• Research and monitor social media industry trends and best practices.
• Analyze social media campaign data and create monthly reports.
• Manage and oversee planning and programming of all Easton special events and activations, including Easton-managed, community based and tenant specific events.
• Coordinate event and activation needs and align with Easton Operations and Public Safety departments.
• Coordinate logistics with event organizers and city officials as required/needed.
• Communicate all event information and details to Easton management staff, guest services team, and tenants accordingly.
• Coordinate event promotion on web and social media channels.
• Monitor and analyze all events and recommend future events based on outcomes and current trends.
• Manage and maintain relationships with event and marketing related vendors and agencies, community groups, and local businesses.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or journalism; or equivalent.
• 2-3 years prior experience in social media management and event planning.
• Experience working effectively with senior leadership, as well as all organizational levels.
• An understanding of best use practices for social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
• Expert on social media management platforms, preferably Hootsuite.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, Photoshop, Canva and or other creative software.
• Strong project management skills, with ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines without direct supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Occasional travel is expected for this position.
