There is no shortage of fun things to do at Easton this summer! We know that these next months will fly by, and to make sure you don’t miss out on anything we’ve asked MomE, FoodE, TrendE and MrE what’s on their summer bucket lists. Continue reading to see what our Easton experts had to say.

MomE’s Summer Bucket List

What’s one thing you’re looking to cross off your bucket list at Easton this summer?

A classic family favorite event and must-do is Superhero Day, which will be held on August 11 in Fenlon Square. Everyone comes dressed as their favorite superhero – or makes one up! It gives kids a chance to meet some of their favorite heroes, like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Activities include face painting, decorate your own mask and cape, live music, create your own comic and lightsaber demonstrations!

Which Easton Town Center events are your family most looking forward to, and why?

One of my new favorites is Game Night, which happens every Thursday evening! Each week, there are different free games ranging from putt-putt and inflatable skee-ball to life-sized Connect Four and checkers. It’s great for giving kids something special to do when the summer days start feeling a little long and helps get your family out of the house to enjoy some time together. Plus, if you don’t feel like cooking dinner after a busy day, it’s located in the Town Square, which is surrounded by wide variety of restaurants!

What are your top tips for planning a fun day at Easton with the family?

The Easton BuggE and Trolley services are a great way to get from point A to B!

As far as things to do and places to shop, I would recommend Fenlon Square! It’s filled with great children’s stores like American Girl and Build-A-Bear, making it easy to hit all your family’s favorite shopping destinations in one spot. There are also fun surprises in Fenlon Square on Saturdays and Sundays, like face painting and caricatures!

FoodE’s Summer Bucket List

What’s one thing you’re looking to cross off your bucket list at Easton this summer? Are there any events you’re looking forward to, or new restaurants you want to try?

I always look forward to the Rally for the Ranch car show, which is coming up on July 28, and Easton Fashion Night, which will be held on September 13. Dining on the patio at Smith & Wollenksy, or Cooper’s Hawk with a view of some spectacular cars is the best. Also, who doesn’t love a pairing food and fashion? That’s my favorite part about Easton Fashion Night. It’s not just about what to wear, but what cocktail or food is in fashion!

In your opinion, which Easton restaurants have the best patios for alfresco dining in the summer?

Now this is a tough question! There are so many here at Easton. My favorites would have to be Smith & Wollensky and Brio Tuscan Grille —you can’t beat the views of the Central Park Fountain or the Town Square!

What is your favorite ice cream flavor from Jeni’s and/or Graeter’s to eat in the summer?

My absolute favorite flavor has to be the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. I love the big chunks of dark chocolate. What’s not to love?

When it comes to summer dishes, what are some of your highly recommended menu options?

For lunch, I love the Summer Avocado Piada with extra avocado and crispy chicken. It’s tasty and filling! I also like the Chicken & Avocado Sandwich at Northstar Café, or the Townsfair Salad.

If you’re looking for the best place to get a burger in Columbus, Easton has plenty of places to choose from, like the Wollensky Butcher Burger, which is ground filet. There’s also the One Red Door Burger at Flip Side or the Avalon Burger and George’s Classic Cadillac Bison Burger from Ted’s Montana Grill. There are just too many to name!

For dinner, the Blackened Snapper or Chilean Seabass at Mitchell’s Ocean Club are both superb. If you’re a carnivore like me, you can’t top a piece of their prime beef! The crab cakes at Smith & Wollensky are all lump crab meat, no fillers. Also, their Coffee & Cocoa Rubbed Filet is so delicious with their ancho chili butter!

TrendE’s Summer Bucket List

What’s one thing you’re looking to cross off your bucket list at Easton this summer? Are there any events you’re looking forward to, or new stores you’re excited about?

I’m super excited for Red Giraffe Designs to open! They have really cute accessories and are locally based.

What’s your idea of the perfect way to spend a summer day at Easton?

Fridays in the summer are fantastic because a) it’s Friday and b) I get to kick it off with Fitness Yoga on the Square. Afterwards, I love to go to Zest with the gals and get “The Fix” smoothie. It has cold brew coffee in it, so I still get my caffeine fix, but also banana, vanilla and other delicious ingredients. Once the caffeine kicks in, shopping ensues, followed by lunch, getting our nails done and then happy hour, of course. Finish with a movie and call it a fabulous day!

What are your go-to stores for trendy fashion finds, and which styles will you be rocking this summer?

I always love H&M and Zara for trendy finds. Sundresses are always a favorite for me, especially in the heat we’ve been experiencing. Colorful slides are also a staple in my summer style. You can wear something super simple, but then spruce the outfit up with bright colored fringe slides.

MrE’s Summer Bucket List

What’s one thing you’re looking to cross off your bucket list at Easton this summer?

Doing a burger tour! The plan is Flip Side, Five GuysWorld of BeerBJ’s and end it at Rusty Bucket. My buddies and I are also trying to plan a pub crawl where we find the best happy hour at Easton.

Are there any events you’re looking forward to, or new stores you’re excited to check out?

Well, Shake Shack is finally coming to Columbus! Even though it’s not opening until early next year, I’m excited. Crinkle fries & cheese sauce > everything! I’m also pumped about Marine Layer opening here. They have soft tees with a casual Cali vibe. Another sick store that’s new to Easton is Indochino if you need a sleek new and custom-made suit.

In your opinion, what’s the best thing about Easton in the summer?

Patio hopping with friends is always a good time. You can’t go wrong with stopping at World of Beer, then to Condado. Being outside is the best part of summer, and the beers are a close second.

Where do you recommend taking a date to at Easton in the summer?

First dates I’d take to Condado because it’s chill and has a fun vibe. It’s a cool place to get to know someone and try more unique food and drinks. A place to let lose a bit.

If you’re trying to impress a significant other, I’d recommend Mitchell’s Ocean Clubwhich also has a great balcony patio option. Movies by the Moonlight is a great idea for some comfy and cozy fun and it’s located by World of Beer, so you could get a drink before or after. Another great idea is Sounds on the Town,  listening to live music outside on a summer night never gets old.
