Spring Trends for 2019: Get the Look at Easton

Share this post:

The sun is shining, the weather is getting warmer and flowers are finally starting to bloom—the best time of year has officially arrived! Spring is here and that means it’s time to start updating your wardrobe for warmer weather. From prints to pastels, we’ve put together a list of trends to keep in mind for your wardrobe refresh this spring.

Current Colors

A popular favorite, pastels, are still in for spring 2019, but designers are taking a different, sweeter approach to getting that perfect spring color. Retailers, like LOFT, are welcoming sorbet shades to the mix this year! Sweeten up your wardrobe with pieces in the shades Limon, Pistachio or Peach. If you’re still a lover of pastels, try buying items that are pale blue, lavender or the beloved blush pink. Some fashionistas are even putting a twist on this romantic pink by going metallic!

Although people tend to stick to softer shades in spring, don’t be afraid to add a pop of color to your closet. Bright colors, like hot magenta and bright orange, are the trendy colors to lean toward this spring. The 2019 Pantone Color of the Year isn’t “Living Coral” for no reason!

Popular Prints

Prints always seem to be in style, but which ones should you be sticking with this spring? Florals, of course! They are a huge trend this season along with color blocks, polka dots and tie-dye. When you’re feeling extra risky, you can use multiple prints in one outfit. Try combining florals and color blocks to complement one another. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Prints don’t have to be exclusive to just clothes—you can add some pattern to your purses, shoes and travel accessories as well. Not only does TUMI have great quality bags and suitcases, it also offers great colors and prints to spice up your travels.

Shameless Nostalgia

Cargo and denim and hoops, oh my! Looks like the fashion industry is celebrating Easton’s 20th anniversary with us by bringing back styles from the late 1990s! From head-to-toe denim to butterfly accessories, we are definitely feeling all the nostalgia this spring. Although this time period was simply amazing, fashion designers decided to add a contemporary twist to the style in 2019. Grab a pair of slightly-flared jeans or a denim jacket from Macy’s and you’ll be rocking the 90s trend this spring.

Trendy Textures

While it’s essential for your clothes to have a perfect appearance, you can’t forget about the texture! This year’s spring trends are focusing on ruffles and crochets, and we’re loving it all. To follow this trend, check out stores that are adding ruffles to their tops and dresses for a perfect feminine touch, like Nordstrom. Who said crocheting is just a hobby? Designers are creating a crochet look in sweaters, tops and even cover-ups leaving us feeling breezy and comfortable.

The It Pieces

With every season comes the clothing pieces everyone must have. If you feel any ounce of trendy this spring, these are the items to look for:

Cardigans are a staple piece to have in this weather. You can wear them buttoned and fitted or unbuttoned and baggy and they’ll still be flattering for all! Bermuda shorts are back in style and are perfect for those sunny, spring days when it’s not too hot, but not too chilly either. Two cold shoulders are so last season. This spring, it’s all about the one cold shoulder—similar to the top shown above from Easton Original, J.Crew. If you don’t want any cold shoulders, try going for tops with puff sleeves. You’ll be feeling romantic and trendy, all at the same time.
