KIND IS COOL
Seeds of Caring, our May/June Easton Community Foundation partner, envisions one thing: a kinder, more connected world led by our youngest generation. Their mission? To empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
Kids deserve a world that is kinder, more just, and more connected than the one we live in today. Seeds of Caring works to turn this vision into reality—to empower kids ages 2-12 to make a real difference through hands-on volunteering. They are helping to raise the next generation of change-makers and bridge-builders. Together with their grown-ups (that’s you!), Seeds of Caring teaches children about the causes of social issues, breaks down barriers that prevent us from living in full community with one another, and encourages youth to use their hearts, hands, and minds for good.
How does our world heal? By letting our young people lead us. Seeds of Caring teams up with more than 60 non-profit organizations, helping kids and their families learn about and take action on issues like homelessness, hunger, systemic racism, stigmas surrounding developmental disabilities & the LGBTQIA+ community, senior isolation & loneliness, environmental stewardship, and so much more. Projects are focused around three key pillars: service, social action, and community building.
Seeds of Caring believes that, together, we can create a brighter tomorrow!
