Your Guide to Ringing in the New Year at Easton
Christmas has come and gone, and while you may be ready to give shopping a break for a week or two, New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and Easton is still the place to be! We have plenty of great tips to help make your New Year’s Eve at Easton a night to remember! Our resident Easton experts FoodE and TrendE gave us the inside scoop on how to spend the evening at some of Easton’s restaurant and entertainment venues.
Not only is Easton the place to enjoy drinks, dinner and dessert leading up to the big countdown, we also have three onsite hotels within walking distance of Easton, including Residence Inn by Marriott at Easton, Courtyard Marriott at Easton, Hilton Columbus at Easton.
As for entertainment, did you know Columbus Funny Bone will have comedian Rob Little performing a special 21 & over show on New Year’s Eve? You can catch his performance at 6:30 or 10 PM, so you’re free to tailor your night around the show however you’d like! If you’re interested in a more laid-back evening, AMC Easton 30 will be showing movies all night long. Ring in the New Year with one of your favorite Jedis in their awesome IMAX 3D theatre!
We asked FoodE a couple of questions about her New Year’s Eve dining tips and recommendations. Here’s what she had to say:
Do you know of any Easton restaurants that are throwing special parties and/or offering delicious deals?
Yes, lots of Easton restaurants ring in the New Year with flair! Adobe Gilas will offer drink specials throughout the evening, Mitchell’s Ocean Club will provide a free champagne toast and Brio Tuscan Grille will offer a modified menu with plenty of delicious dishes to enjoy.
How soon should people begin making their NYE reservations?
If you haven’t made them yet, I would decide on a place quickly, otherwise you might be dining at 10 PM!
When it comes to celebrating New Year’s Eve in style, TrendE has the following advice:
Why stay at just one place! If people were to make a stop at Easton before heading elsewhere, which venues and/or restaurants would you recommend checking out? How can you make a night of it?
Start with a wine tasting at Cooper’s Hawk, dinner at J. Alexander’s, and ring in the New Year at Mitchell’s Ocean Club with after dinner cocktails and dessert. Take time to walk around Easton and enjoy the dazzling lights and holiday décor between each stop.
When it comes to deciding what to wear, what’s your best advice?
Don’t be afraid to go big – items with sequins, oversized jewelry, statement boots and faux fur.
We’re excited for a fun and safe New Year’s Eve at Easton, and we hope you choose to celebrate the night with us! How do you plan on spending New Year’s Eve this year?
