Summer Boredom Busters at Easton
School is out and summer vacation is officially in session. If you’re not sure how to keep your kids busy and are looking for ways to prevent them from sitting on the couch all day, we have a couple ideas the whole family can enjoy. After all, there’s no shortage of things to do at Easton!
Go to a Concert
Summertime is synonymous with concerts, and we have a full lineup of live performances set to take place every Wednesday evening this summer. Oh, and did we mention admission is free? If music is your thing, take a peek at our Sounds on the Town concert series schedule.
Treat Yourself to a Yoga Session
Treat yourself to some me-time and come out for Friday morning Yoga sessions on Town Square. Designed for the first-timer and mainstream fitness fan, this free introductory yoga class is led by an instructor from Life Time Fitness in June and July, and by Namaste In Love Yoga Studio in August and September. It’s open to everyone ages 13 and older, making it a great mother-daughter bonding activity, too.
Catch a Movie
Whether it's watching movies under the stars on Town Square, or on the big screen at AMC Theatres, movie night is hands down a favorite activity during summertime at Easton. Mark your calendars and join us every Tuesday night in June, July and August on Town Square to watch a movie or check out a blockbuster coming to the big screen at AMC Easton.
Looking for a way to stay cool on hot summer days? The splash pad fountains are a kid favorite. Watch your kids have fun splashing in the water while you take a much-needed break sitting in the shade. On weekends you can have Fun at the Frog Fountain.
Check out Rally for the Ranch Car Show
Don’t forget about the Rally for the Ranch car show! Featuring a variety of classic cars, collectibles and foreign exotic street cars, this free extravaganza will take place at Easton Town Center on July 28 from 11 AM-3 PM. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Buckeye Ranch. Since 1961, The Buckeye Ranch has restored hope and provided healing to children and families who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health issues. Today, The Ranch serves more than 1,600 children and families every day, from all over Ohio.
Thursday Game Night
New this year! Bring your friends and family to the Town Square Thursday evenings from 4-7 PM for some healthy competition and lots of laughter! There are various games to play including putt-putt, giant skee ball, giant checkers and more!
Be a Superhero
Have you heard about Superhero Day at Easton? This family-friendly event is sure to be a hit with your kids. Have them come dressed up as their favorite superhero and allow them to unleash their inner super powers. Don’t have a costume? We’ll have several activity stations where kids can create their own cape and get their face painted. You won’t want to miss this day of activities, costumed characters, and more!
