LemonShark Poké & Makai Grill Now at Easton
Easton is excited to welcome LemonShark Poké and Makai Grill to our Newest District. The Hawaiian-inspired restaurant chose Easton to open its first Ohio location and brings a unique cuisine to our list of over 40 restaurants.
The restaurant offers sustainably-sourced, sushi-grade fish (Poké) and authentic hibachi-style grilled meats (Makai) – staples of the native Hawaiian cuisine.
WHAT IS POKÉ?
In the Hawaiian language, Poké, pronounced POH-keh, means to slice or cut. A Poké bowl is comprised of sliced, marinated, normally uncooked seafood, and vegetables. It is topped with a savory umami or soybean paste-based sauce. Though tradition Poké includes sushi-grade salmon or tuna (typically cubed and raw), there are other options, like shrimp, crab salad, or tofu.
WHAT IS MAKAI?
In the Hawaiian language, Makai means “toward the sea.” The Makai side of the menu features fresh beef, pork, seafood, poultry, and veggie options as part of an extensive list of small plates, skewers, sides, and appetizers that can be prepared on a private hibachi-style grill at your table, or grilled for you by the chef.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE.
The menu also features Hibachi bowls, served with LemonShark’s Hawaiian-style macaroni salad and cabbage slaw.
And don’t forget your cocktails and desserts! LemonShark’s signature cocktail, the Makai Tai, is the restaurant’s take on a classic Mai Tai.
Their dessert specialty is the Drunken Grilled Peaches – sliced peaches simmered in dark rum, topped with brown sugar, pie crust crumble, and served over vanilla bean ice cream.
