How did Easton Fashion Night get started?

Easton Fashion Night was originally created as a spinoff of New York City’s Fashion’s Night Out. But when Fashion’s Night Out ended, Easton Fashion Night grew. “It was originally just around the Central Park Fountain; we moved it to The Strand to make it a bigger event,” said Meredith Leighton, Events and Marketing Manager at Easton.

How has Easton Fashion Night evolved?

“We added more tenants’ participation, which is fantastic,” she continued. “We were able to pair the restaurants with the stores, so you can snack on some appetizers while shopping. And we are so excited to have Columbus Monthly as the event’s presenting sponsor this year!”

Ultimately, these changes all are about “amplifying the experience for the guest,” she added. “We also like that this event incorporates local nonprofits like Dress for Success Columbus.” Not only is this signature fashion event of the year extremely fun, but it’s also a great way to help us celebrate recent additions to Easton's flourishing collection of premier retailers and local businesses in the area.

What makes Easton Fashion Night unique?

Unlike traditional runway shows – which Easton supports locally, by collaborating with Fashion Week Columbus and sponsoring the Columbus College of Art and Design Senior Fashion Show – Easton Fashion Night takes models off the runway and onto the streets of the Fashion District between Easton’s Central Park Fountain and Nordstrom. Similarly, the fashions they wear are more approachable than typical runway fare. “Since we utilize our tenants, the looks are off the runway, but can be worn to work tomorrow or can be worn for an evening out,” Leighton says.
