At Easton, we believe environmental stewardship is everyone’s responsibility. We’re committed to finding ways to increase eco awareness in our community. With Earth Day coming up on Sunday, April 22, we invite you to come out and enjoy the green events and special promotions our restaurant and retail stores have planned in recognition of this important holiday. Keep reading to learn what we’re doing to help preserve our planet, and how you can go green at Easton this weekend.

What Are We Doing?

We’ve equipped both the East Parking Garage and Easton Gateway with electrical charging stations to encourage guests to drive their electric cars to Easton. Though we didn’t forget about our standard parking lots, our red/green parking lights reduces emissions by limiting the amount of time our guests spend driving around in search of a parking space.

Once you leave your car, you’ll likely start walking on some of our permeable pavers. Both the Town Center and Gateway parking lots, sidewalks and tree pits are equipped to allow water to drain right through, greatly reducing runoff that would otherwise enter local water systems, potentially carrying harmful materials with it.

In addition to providing 11 co-mingled containers throughout the property that guests can use to recycle glass and plastic, we also offer Columbus residents a convenient way to recycle their used batteries. Simply take them to our Guest Services Desk, and we’ll handle it from there. We accept standard batteries, including lithium and alkaline, along with NiCd, NiMh, lead (automobile) and mercury (watches, cameras, digital thermometers).
