One of the best things about the new year is all of the new movies coming to the big screen! 2020 is going to be a BIG year for movies, with anticipated openings including the live-action Mulan, Black Widow solo film and many more. Action & Superheroes

Calling all action lovers! You don’t want to miss these new action-packed movies coming out in 2020.

No Time to Die | April 8
James Bond is back again, with Daniel Craig returning for his final 007. Recruited to rescue a kidnapped scientist, Bond finds himself on the trail on a mysterious villain, who is armed with a dangerous new technology.

Black Widow | May 1
The first introductory movie into Marvel’s Phase 4 will be this solo film of the Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson. Much like its heroine, this film is cloaked in secrets, but we’re sure it will be full of fun and surprises.

Wonder Woman 1984 | June 5
The Amazonian goddess, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), returns for the sequel in which she goes up against the Cheetah, a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and ability.

Top Gun: Maverick | June 26
A Top Gun sequel after 31 years later! Tom Cruise reprises his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell and Miles Teller joins the cast as Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, Goose’s son.

The King’s Man | September 18
A prequel of how “The Kingsman” all began in the early 1900s. Fans of the series will finally get to see how a group of former soldiers created the spy agency.

Eternals | November 6
The second film of Marvel’s Phase 4 will debut later in 2020 starring Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and a couple of Game of Thrones favorite, Richard Madden and Kit Harrington. The Eternals are powerful immortals who helped shape humanity and history on Earth.

Comedy & Family

Sonic the Hedgehog | February 14
The classic video game has finally come to the big screen. Sonic fans around the world are excited to see their favorite video game character come to life in this live-action film with comedian Jim Carrey as the villain Dr. Robotnik.

Mulan | March 27
The Mulan live-action film is here to win our hearts again just as it did the first time with the animated version. To save her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, Mulan must disguise herself as a soldier to help battle the northern invaders in China.

Coming to America 2 | December 18
King Akeem and Semmi are returning from their homeland of Zamunda. In this sequel, Akeem discovers that he may have a long-lost son that he didn’t know about whom may be heir to the throne.

A Quiet Place: Part II | March 20
The Abbott family must fight against the terrors of the outside world again in silence. In this sequel, it will show the backstory of how the invasion began and the continuing fight for survival.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It | September 11
In the third chapter of the Conjuring Saga, Ed and Lorraine Warren focus on a real case they investigated in which a murder suspect goes through a demonic possession as a defense mechanism for his crimes.

Halloween Kills | October 16
The 12th and final installment of the Halloween franchise, “Halloween Kills” is a sequel to 2018’s “Halloween”. Laurie Stride (Jaime Lee Curtis) is back with her grown-up daughter for this spooky thriller!

A successful author, played by Janell Monae, finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must figure out the mystery before it’s too late. Fans of “Get Out” and “Us” will love this thriller!

West Side Story | December 18
Calling all musical lovers! The reboot of West Side Story is finally here. This Broadway musical follows the story of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but it’s set in 1950s New York.
