Created in a time of uprising and uncertainty, the Unity Pavilion mural was painted by five local female artists, each with varied artistic and cultural backgrounds and experiences. Their unified purpose in creating this work is to share messages of solidarity, by way of art, through individuality and collaboration, leveraging the art as a tool to uplift and build connection. The words of inspiration from strong Black voices, combined with individually selected flowers, were used to express the collective vision. Every letter, color, and paint stroke you see helps show that through our differences, we find “beauty in diversity” and through collaboration, we are stronger together.
Thank you to the group of artists who shared their talents with us.
