Your parking meter change funds local charities.

Just six organizations are designated each year to receive proceeds from the parking meters at Easton Town Center.  Awards are based on each organization’s ability to provide meaningful support for youth and families in central Ohio.

Each quarter spent in a meter and each ticket paid helps fund the current two-month period's featured local charity.

The Change for Charity Meter Program is one of the most recognizable components of the Easton Community Foundation due to the direct relationship that exists between your parking meter and ticket payments and local charities.

Since the program’s inception in 1999, Easton's meters have funded over $700,000 through the Change for Charity program.

In addition to direct support, recipients also receive the benefit of signage and other exposure around Easton, as well as the opportunity to schedule use of the Community Booth during the months of their partnership.

The Easton Community Foundation is pleased to partner with the following Change for Charity recipients in 2010:

Lutheran Social Services (January/February) – Since 1912, Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio (LSS) has fulfilled its mission of “creating a better world by serving people in need” by focusing on hunger, housing, healing and hope. LSS programs, including food pantries, homeless shelters, senior living and affordable housing communities, assist thousands of people in need each day. Last year, the LSS food pantries provided more than 1.5 million meals by distributing nearly 4 million pounds of food in central and southeast Ohio.  www.lssco.org

YWCA Columbus (March/April) – The mission of YWCA Columbus is to eliminate racism and empower women. In 2005, the YWCA opened its Family Center, providing food and emergency shelter for up to 50 families a night, 365 days a year. The center helps families break down barriers to independent housing and a stable life for their children. Volunteers are essential to ensuring that no baby or child goes without safe housing and food.  www.ywcacolumbus.org
